Field Trips

IGFA: International Game Fish Association
At the IGFA the students learn about the different fish and the different habitats. They also learn about the evolutionary changes that fishes go through. Then they take a tour of their wetlands which has alligators, birds, fish and many other animals.

Ropes Course at Synder Park
The ropes course is a series of outdoor team building activities that challenge team members to work very effectively together. Team building programs occur on both high ropes course and low ropes team challenge courses. The high ropes course is approximately 30 feet above the group and the low ropes team challenge is a series of ground based team building activities. This provocative ropes course and team building programs are very effective tools for impacting leadership and team skills. Students l develop a greater understanding and appreciation of their performance strengths and limitations. Issues of group norms, change, conflict management, decision-making, risk taking and planning are addressed through these activity-based team building simulations.

Overnight camp trip in Florida Keys

The 3 day field trip for the freshmen takes place in the Florida Upper Keys.  Students learn about marine ecosystems through team building activities. The students kayak in teams of two to various habitats where they observe the interdependence of the different inhabitants of the ecosystems.
