South Broward High School’s R.O.V. team is a group of students devoted to planning, designing and engineering underwater robotic vehicles. The vehicles are utilized primarily in annual competition organized by M.A.T.E. (Marine Advanced Technology Center) and in collaboration with local institutions to conduct field research i.e., water quality testing, environmental assessment and shark research which fully engrosses students and allows them to implement everything they learned both inside and outside the classroom within the field of marine science and technology.

Alumni of Reef Dog’s R.O.V. team have continued their education and majored in ocean engineering and technology at Florida Atlantic University and marine biology and atmospheric sciences at the University of Miami.
